We just wanted to let Kennidee and Braxtyn know that we love them and wish they were here to see this in person. We Love and really miss you and hope you are being good for grandmas.

Just an update on me. I am doing okay. Still in the hospital on bed rest, but good news is that if all is well by Thursday the doctors are considering sending me back home. I just had another spell last night, I started contracting every 3 to 5 min and they were extremely painful. We thought it was time. But of course their was no change and the contractions stopped. So back to the waiting game hopefully we can finish this journey at home.

Yard Fixin Fun

Just a little family update Kennidee is getting so big she turned 3 in December and full of drama. Braxtyn will be turning 2 in August and just loves playing with tractors and dirt. Scotty is still working hard and enjoying it, of course he would rather be home working on our yard. We have so much to get done. We just put in an orchard with 3 peach, 2 apple and 2 cherries. Hopefully we can get some fruit in a couple years. I am still here, I am 27 weeks pregnant and the twin boys are just as active as can be. I am really tired and emotionally drained this has been a really hard pregnancy. But I do see light at the end of the tunnel only about 7 more weeks and I can finally breathe. Hey mom a stick Cheese Tractor Fun! All three would be on the tractor all day if I let them.

We have a cute little lion that was not happy to wear his hat, and a wicked witch that loved every minute of it. Our stake had a big trunk or treat and Kennidee loved it. Braxtyn didn't care much for getting the candy, but he loved handing it out. He would throw handfuls at the kids and he would laugh and clap it was hilarious.

We have this place called the Bounce House, it has tons of the blow up slides and tunnels. The kids loved it. Kennidee didn't want to go home.

The Ruins

Scotty's brother and family came up from Arizona to spend the 4th of July with us. We decided while they were up here we would go and see the Aztec Ruins. We had a lot of fun even though it was really hot.

We went into some of their homes. The rooms were probably 6x6 and the doorways to each room were maybe 2 feet wide and 4 feet tall. This is Kaleb and Jonah sitting in one of the doorways.

I was on my way back to switch Scotty when I saw him trying to squeeze our big double stroller through these tinny doors. Braxtyn was loving it.

Phillip and Jamie's family came and stayed with us for a few days so we decided to go and look for geocaches. I had never heard of them, but supposedly they are all over the world. They are little boxes that are registered with the coordinates and you find them by typing the coordinates in a GPS and looking. The kids loved it the last box we found had a whole bunch of toys and fun little things in it.

We decided to go to the zoo while we were up in Salt Lake and the kids had so much fun. We haven't been for a long time and we just loved it. These are some of Kennidee's favorite animals so I just took some pictures.

We can't forget the adorable new baby elephant both Kennidee's and my favorite.

Kennidee's favorite thing was the choo choo train we would have ridden it a million times if it didn't cost money.

My first Triathlon

I participated in my first Triathlon in April it was one of the hardest things I have ever done. I was doing doing great on the swimming and then I had to bike. I had not trained at all on the bike and it was 3 miles uphill then flat and at the very end they added another mile long hill for kicks I guess.
Swimming was 400 meters

Biking 13 miles

Running 3.1 miles we didn't get any pictures of my dad running because when I finished with the bike he was already done with the whole thing.

Yes I finished and I was upright.

A big hug from my number one fan. When I passed her on the bike she was yelling "go momma go!"

My dad finished in 1 hour and 30 min and I finished in 2 hours and 30 min.

Today was check up day at the doctors and Kennidee weighed 27 lbs finally she gained. Little tubbers weighed 17 lbs yikes, watch out wormy he's gaining ground. I just took random pictures today and they are so cute. I cannot believe how fast my kidlets are growing.

I took this picture of Braxtyn and when I looked at it. It reminded me of President Hinckley, I have such a funny little boy.

So a lot has happened these last couple of weeks. We are finally moved into our new house and we love it. We had a rough go at it the first week, when our basement flooded. The plumber didn't tighten one of the bolts down enough on our dishwasher. So when we did a load of dishes the water just kept on running all night and day. We had a mess, our beautiful wood floor in our kitchen was ruined and now needed to be replaced. Scotty is loving his job still and really enjoys being a nurse and taking care of patients. Kennidee is feeling good after having surgery on the 25th of January. She is growing like a weed and learns new words everyday. She just learned the word shut up and is constantly telling our dog to do so at my dismay of course. She is doing pretty well on potty training. She is two and acts like it, and we love it:) Braxtyn is growing bigger and bigger everyday and is such a happy baby. He is now 5 months old and I can't believe how fast they grow. He just rolled over for the first time last night and I am such a proud mommy. I didn't think he would ever move. I thought we were going to have to get a fork lift. We are so blessed to have such beautiful happy kids. I am training for a mini triathlon that my dad and I will be doing in August. I am able to swim a mile in 27 minutes without drowning, and I just started trying to run. Lots of emphasis on the trying. I am blaming my slowness on the two fat kids that I have to push in the stroller. We are loving it in New Mexico, but of course wish we were closer to family.

Before surgery she was happy and loved all the attention she was getting. Mom however was a nervous wreck.

One minute later. She was ready to go home after about 30 minutes, but she didn't want to go home she wanted to stay at the hospital with the nurses it was so cute. The nurses just loved her and didn't want her to go either.

Mr. Tubby is still a tubby, but he is healthy. At his four month check up he weighed in at 15 lbs 9 oz. He is the happiest baby. He is always laughing and smiling. I just love him. Kennidee is growing too. She weighed in at 26 lbs and just keeps getting taller and taller. We did find out that she needed to have a couple hernia's repaired. One in her belly button and one a little higher up in her abdomen. But other than that she is a healthy two year old.

Wow those are the biggest, cutest bed bugs I have ever seen.

We went to the mall to see Santa last Tuesday and Kennidee loved it. She now knows who Santa is and what Santa says. She doesn't have the concept that he brings presents yet, but that will come eventually I am sure. While we were waiting Papa took her to play in the play court she just loves her papa.

Grandma and all her grand kids except for Braxtyn he was sleeping. Going from left to right we have Kennidee, Payson, Corban, Nana Crump and Stevie.
Minor owie, Kennidee was running around our house with a glass jar and we were chasing after her to get the bottle and she ran into the table and cut her eyelid. We were afraid of having to get stitches, but we tried the steri-stips and taped it closed and it healed great.

Going to the ward Christmas party and my kids looked so adorable. I just love Kennidee's smile she is such a weirdo.

So do to the fact that we are going to be moving here at the end of the week we didn't really want to get any of the Christmas decorations out, just to turn around and put them away. This month just seemed to be flying by and it just didn't feel like Christmas so I decided to get our little tree out and decorate it. It made me feel so much more festive and happy.

So the kids and I decided to go up to Salt Lake with my parents for a the week before Thanksgiving and then Scotty would come up to get us and stay for the week of Thanksgiving. We ended up getting to go up to Idaho and attend one of my cousins wedding and were able to see all the grandparents and stopped by and saw grandpa Keith. It was so nice to have them see their Great Grandma's and Grandpa's.

After we got home Papa decided to paint Kennidee's nails. It was so funny!

Big Helpers

So our parents came down to help us put the tile and wood flooring down in our new house and Kennidee just loved having both grandpas and grandmas at her beck and call. She was such a big helper making cinnamon rolls with Nana. My mom would just get the dough rolled out and she would turn around to put the cinnamon and sugar on and their would be a big hole in the dough so she would have to roll it all out again.

Then we went up to take the hot rolls to the hard working men and Kennidee wanted to help papa. He was putting all the spacers in the tile and she would go right behind him and take them out. Time for a much needed rest

Happy Halloween! Kennidee was a monkey, Braxtyn the Tiger, Scotty and I in case you can't tell are army people. The ward had a trunk-or-treat today so we dressed up and took the kids out to trick-or-treat. Kennidee loved her monkey costume she kept looking in the mirror and saying monkey. She wasn't sure at first about the trick-or-treating and taking around the bag, but after a while she realized she was getting candy and would start running and saying hurry, hurry, hurry. It was a lot of fun other than the cold. BRRRRR!!!!

8 Weeks and House Update

Things are just moving along with our house they have all the windows in and shingles are starting to go on. They started sheet rock today and they have the whole house almost done. Hopefully they will be able to tape and mud and get things painted. We are so excited to get into our house.

Kennidee and I went for a walk on our property today to see what we could discover. We discovered a swing had been put in one of our large trees. We had so much fun playing today in the tree.

Braxtyn is 8 Weeks tomorrow. Where does the time go? I swear I was still pregnant last week and now he is getting so big.

7 Weeks and Still Living

6 Weeks

We all made it another week and I am enjoying most every minute. Some days are a little more stress full than others, but for the most part I wouldn't change anything. Kennidee is loving having a little brother to pick on already, and I love seeing her react with him. Braxtyn is such a good little baby he just loves to smile and he is starting to talk it has been so much fun. I just love his curly hair and dimples too.

5 Weeks

I survived another week with my two little monsters:) It has been so much fun to see Braxtyn grow and see Kennidee's reactions to him. I have really enjoyed being a mom and have enjoyed having these two kidlets. Braxtyn just keeps getting bigger and more chubby every day.

Day at the Park

Kennidee just loves being outside so today we went to the park and she had so much fun. Unfortunately we had to leave early because of the wind. She had to take her dolly with her to the park and every time her dolly would fall she would cry "Oh No!" and would brush all the dirt off of her it was so funny.

House Update

They are making progress on our house. They have all the exterior walls up and covered and have started on the roof. So hopefully they will have it done and the siding up next week.

Mile Stone

So we hit a mile stone with Kennidee today. We were on our way home from our lot and Kennidee started fussing and saying she had to poop. I told her we were almost home and she could get out of her seat. Once we got home she said she had to poop and I asked her if she wanted to go in the big girl potty and she said yes. So she ran into the bathroom and lifted up the seat and said "potty". So I put her on the potty and she went to the bathroom, we were so proud of her. I haven't been working with her at all on the potty training, because she hasn't shown any interest. I am going out the store tomorrow to buy a potty for her.

This is the view we are going to have from our bay window in the front. They have the basement all framed in and they have the floor on. They have a couple of the main walls put together just not put up yet. Things are getting closer, we are so excited.

I was playing on the computer and Kennidee rolled up behind me and said she was stuck. I looked behind me and she had crawled into her baby stroller and scooted over to me and said she was stuck it was so funny.

3 Weeks

We made it to week 3 and we are all still living. Braxtyn had an appointment today to see how he was doing and he has gained over 2 lbs. The Dr. asked how he was eating and I told him he was a good little eater. He weighed 7 lbs 1 oz. two weeks ago and now he weighs 9 lbs 4 oz. I used to call him the pokey little puppy, because it would take me 2 hours to feed him. He was the slowest eater, now I am going to have to call him my little porker.

Scotty and I both still have all our hair and it looks great thanks to Bobbie.

Kennidee has been doing well with little brother. She has been throwing tantrums lately, but we are hoping they will pass. We also had her only on her pacifier at nights and at nap times, but since little brother has one she thinks she needs one. We are trying to be patient and understanding so hopefully she will decide she doesn't want one soon.

Finally He's Here

Braxtyn Scott Smith finally decided to make his entrance to world on Sunday the 30th of August 2009 and 5:19 p.m. after 23 long hours of labor. Braxtyn weighs in at 7 lbs 9 oz and 20.5 inches long.
Kennidee is seeing little bother for the first time and is loving it.

Foundation

EEW! A Bug!

My little girl just loves things that move. We recently had an encounter with a praying mantis, and she loved it. She kept trying to hold it then she would shriek and run when it moved. So after a while I took the bug and put him in a safe place (so I thought). I went and turned on the water for our garden which is only a few feet away. I come back and she is stomping on something in the grass and looks and me and says Yess!! I hurried over and yes it was the bug. But fortunately for the bug the grass was long so it lived and I took it and put it in the tree.

Kennidee just loves her baby. She has recently started to want her baby to do everything with her. She feeds her and gives her a drink and the funny thing is she makes the sounds of the baby eating.

Just a Little Update

Just a little update on our little family. Kennidee is getting so big and so is her vocabulary. I have been trying to work with her, and of course I think her love for books has helped. She just loves being outside, but it is so hot down here that we have to wait until it is cool to go outside or I just melt. Scotty is still doing well with his job. He is finally off of orientation and is liking the freedom. He just got switched back to days and actually misses the nights. I am doing just great! I am still pregnant which is killing me. I was 2 weeks early with Kennidee and was expecting a similar result with this one, but to my dismay he is very comfortable where he is. I had a Dr. appt. yesterday and things are progressing very slowly. The doctor is a little more optimistic about me delivering this weekend, but I am not getting my hopes up.

They got the footings down and now we are just waiting for them to be inspected. Once they are approved they can pour and get the foundation finished.

Piano Lessons

Kennidee just loves playing the piano. I had to lock the lid this last month, because Scotty was working nights and so we couldn't play during the day. Needless to say she was extremely happy when I unlocked it. Our house has been filled with such beautiful music these last couple days.

So they finally started to dig the hole for our house. We are so excited, Kennidee was more excited about the kitten she found then anything. The foundation is the slowest part so hopefully they can get started on the framing and stuff soon.

I tried to get a good view of our property. We have about an acre, so about 15 left of the trees to the left of the white truck and about 100 feet to the right of the white truck.

Kennidee is just starting the stage where she likes to put everything on. She will put my shoes on and walk around the house in them. Well yesterday Kennidee came out wearing Scott's uniform hat she looked so cute so daddy got his other one and posed with her.

We were out in our garden last Sunday and Jake found a rather large toad. Kennidee didn't know what to think. She wanted to touch it, but every time she tried it would move and freak her out.

Cute Sunday pictures, Kennidee is such a goof. She just started really sticking her tongue out and making funny faces. She makes us all laugh. A little update on the family. We are doing good Scotty still loves his job, he has been working nights this month and is actually liking them more than he thought he would. I am feeling okay, very pregnant and hot. I have been contracting a little more lately so I am hoping that Braxtyn will decide to come soon.

Uncle Jake is going to be leaving us on Tuesday we are going to miss him so much. Kennidee has really enjoyed her having her Uncle staying with us.

Kennidee is not a fan of the water, but today Jake and Scotty had to fix the sprinklers and Kennidee decided that she wanted to run through them of course it took a little coaxing on our part.

Humming Birds

I just love sitting outside and watching the humming birds. We have so many the last count we had was about twenty. It gets pretty nuts around here when they are hungry.

These are our new guys that have been hanging around. They are so pretty the pictures don't really do them justice but they are bright orange.

Yard Work

Saturday is yard work day, that is when Scotty is not working. Kennidee wanted to help Uncle Jake mow our lawn. She is such a big girl!! It has been so much fun having Jake down here to visit he has been such a big help.

Outside Fun

Kennidee and I went outside to play for a little while this week. We sure do enjoy being outside when it isn't so stinking hot. Kennidee is so much fun I just wish I had the energy to keep up with her.

Happy 4th of July! We were so excited to light fireworks this year. We were even able to light off the big ones legally yeah!! Kennidee just loved them she didn't want them to stop. Also her Uncle Jake came down from Salt Lake to spend a couple weeks with us and we are so happy to have him staying with us. He has been such a good help and Kennidee just loves him.

The Aquarium

We went to the Sandy Aquarium and Kennidee loved it. It was a little overpriced for what you get to see, but all in all we enjoyed it. This is our cute little boat captain giving us orders over the speaker.

The Manaray were fun to see, Kennidee thought they were cool to look at but not to touch.

Swimming Pool

After Kennidee tried the sprinklers and hated them, I decided to try a swimming pool. I don't know what I was thinking, but she actually did well. She walked right in and she didn't even cry.

She finally warmed up to the idea of the water and started climbing out and jumping back in.

Petting Zoo

We found a fun little petting zoo at Gardner Village and decided to take Kennidee to it. It was a lot of fun we all enjoyed it. This pig was huge Kennidee didn't quite know what to think of her.
And then they brought out one of her babies and Kennidee love it, and so did we. It was so cute.

She just loved the baby calf.

This sheep was really dirty and she kept following it around picking off all the grass.

So we had to pay to get into this petting zoo, and her favorite animal was of course the dog.

This goat kept trying to use us as a support so he could eat the leaves. He also kept pushing us out of his way.

It was so funny this little baby lamb was so cute with Kennidee. It started licking her hand and then she went to stand up and it started to eat her shirt, She didn't like this very much.

Water Time

So Nana Crump bought Kennidee a new water toy and she hated it. She kept saying ouch when the water touched her. I don't know if it was because it was cold, but she did not want to play in the water at all.

Little update

I had a Dr. appt yesterday and everything went and looked great. Little Braxtyn Scott Smith is not so little. He is measuring 2 weeks bigger than he is supposed to. So they will be monitoring him and be doing another ultrasound to make sure he is not getting to big. So the good news is that I am two weeks ahead the bad news is that my baby is going to be a monster. We did manage to get some fun 3D pictures. This first one is just a side profile not in 3D but it is still fun to look at.
This one is a 3D he kind of looks like he is sucking his thumb and holding a blanket to his face. The blanket he is actually my placenta that he likes to hold against his face. I asked the Sonographer and she said the reason he does this is, because it is warm, soft and he can feel my heart beat. This one he looks a little skeletal and you can't see his mouth, because of the placenta.

This one is my favorite because you can see the whole face. Well at least a side profile of his face and you can see his cute chubby cheeks. His hand is up by the other side of his face.

Kennidee also had a Dr. appt today and everything with her is good. She is in the 60th percentile for height. She is 32 inches tall, I don't know where she is getting the height it is not from me. She has not gained any weight she still weighs 22 lbs and is only in the 20th %. She is just a really picky eater, which again she does not get from her mother. Other than that she is doing great and did such a great job with her shots today, she didn't even cry. She is such a big girl, and we are so proud of her.

New Bed

We just bought Kennidee a new bed and when we set it up we couldn't get her off of it. Well at night we were a little worried she would keep climbing out and not go to bed. The first night she did so good she stayed in all night, she just fell right to sleep. Last night she didn't want to go to bed but we had hoped she would crawl back in when she wanted to go back to bed. I went to check on her and I couldn't open the door all the way. She had fallen asleep on the floor in front of the door. Luckily there is a bathroom that connects to the other side of her room so we were able to go around and get some pictures.

Fun at the Park

Thursday I had a Dr. appt to get my glucose checked, so we had a hour to spare. We drove around and found a little park and she just loved it. Well at our house we don't have anything for her to play with and we don't have a fenced yard so it is hard for me to chase her around all day. So today I decided to drive around and find a park close to our house that we could go to everyday and she loved it.

The cutest thing is she is now really attached to her baby doll and would carry it around with her and go down the slide with it.

We were just playing outside with our animals. I especially love to sit outside and watch our humming birds. We put some feeders out for them and they are so amazingly fast and pretty.

Grandpa took Kennidee for a ride on his motorcycle and she loved it. She kept asking him to do it again. Well he decided to get the four wheelers out and ride around the back yard. She loved it, and anytime he would stop she would look at him and move back and forth like she wanted to go.

Grandma Crump bought a new bubble toy that makes like 800 bubbles in 6o seconds and Kennidee has just had a blast with it. We also took it over to Grandma Smiths and everyone had a ball.

The Wedding

Scotty's sister Julia got married on Thursday and it was such a blast to see all of our families. It has been such a long time since we saw Phillip and Jamie's family and Nathan and Beth's family it was good to see everyone again.

We finally found out what we are having at first the sonographer couldn't tell because the cord was between the legs and the baby wouldn't cooperate. She got some funny pictures while we were waiting. But to my relief she discovered that we are having a boy!!! According to the ultrasound he is a pretty big boy. We will be naming him Braxtyn Scott Smith. Scott after my dad and Scotty.

This one is my absolute favorite picture he decided to say cheese for the camera and it just makes me crack up laughing. This is the type of face that only a mother could love. I am sure that he will be cute.
